Orkhan Hasanov, Investment Associate

Orkhan Hasanov is an investment associate at GEX Capital, where he leads research and analysis of potential investment opportunities. 

Before joining GEX Capital, Orkhan contributed to renewable energy projects at Avangrid, where he conducted market research and developed financial models for green hydrogen projects. Prior to that, Orkhan was the advisor to the CEO at SOCAR Polymer LLC and SOCAR GPC, where he managed high-impact engineering projects, optimized operational performance, and led strategic initiatives. At SOCAR, Orkhan's work involved managing high-impact Capex and Opex engineering projects on major upgrades and optimization for a $800M petrochemical plant, largest industrial investment, and Public Private Partnership (PPP) over the last 40 years.

Orkhan holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MPhil from the University of Cambridge. Outside work, Orkhan enjoys soccer and is fluent in multiple languages, including Azerbaijani, Turkish and Russian.
